The recent video of young boys being told to ‘slap’ a young girl has had me thinking, and this thought process might not be to everyone’s agreement.
It is not just males who commit violence, it is females too, and sometimes we miss that part of the equation.
We forget that males are just as equal as females in their rights to live safely and without abuse, as everyone is too embroiled in the feminist movement, which don’t get me wrong is great, but sometimes we have to remember the males also.
Feminism is about equality and shedding light on the male side of abuse. It is knowing that males are abused and that we, as females, aren’t exactly an innocent sex when it comes to this.
Females take part in these acts, and they commit the same crimes that male commits, and sometimes we have to show the males that we are remembering them.
Guys, it’s okay to have feelings and it’s okay to speak out if someone is abusing you and you are in an abusive relationship.
Let’s not become our worst enemy and forget that the other sex matters just as much as we do.
